What are archetypes?

Archetypes are the core of one's true identity - a safe haven of familiarity. As I've recently discovered, there's so much more to an individual's personality than what meets the eye.

The linguistic definition of archetypes refers to models and patterns - while that has some relevance to the 'archetypes' that I speak of, I'm actually talking about one's true self. A phantom that's hard to define, but we all seem to "kinda know", like an old friend. What if it's possible to really dial in and learn more about the contents of our true selves? What would mine look like?

According to this site, there are 12 archetypes in total:

Each archetype has its own unique set of strengths, weaknesses, and a mission to fullfil during this lifetime.

Personally, I belong to the "Outlaw". Which makes a lot of sense, considering my rebellious nature and hatred for systems.

But I do also identify with the Sage.
